Recreation Dog Park, at 5201 E 7th Street in Long Beach, opened in 1996 as the city's first dog park and sits near the golf course and the Fly Casting Pond. The two-acre area has been expanded and has separate fenced areas for small and large dogs, plus trees, benches, water and waste bags.
