- Profile information: avatar, bio, and pet details you choose to add.
- Reviews and content: text, ratings, and photos you submit about pet services.
- Business claims: information you supply when claiming a business listing (DNS records, verification codes, document uploads).
- Payment information: handled by Stripe; we receive transaction metadata only (we never see full card numbers).
- Communications: messages you send us through our contact form, email, or in-app messaging.

- Usage data: pages visited, search queries, features used.
- Device information: browser type, operating system, screen resolution.
- Approximate location based on IP address to show relevant local results (city-level).

2. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:

4. Data sharing and sub-processors
We do not sell your personal information. We share limited data with the following categories of recipients, all under contractual data-processing terms:
- Hosting / infrastructure: Google Cloud (GKE, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage) and Vercel (frontend hosting).
- Payments: Stripe (subscriptions and one-time payments).
- Email delivery: SendGrid (transactional email).
- Analytics: Google Analytics (only with consent).
- Maps: Mapbox (map tiles and geocoding).
- Business owners: verified business owners can see reviewer display names and review content for their own listings.
- Legal requirements: when required by law, regulation, or valid legal process, including national security or law enforcement requests.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections.
5. International data transfers
Furvisor is operated from infrastructure hosted primarily in the United States (us-central1). If you are located outside the US, your data will be transferred to and processed in the US and other countries where our service providers operate. Where required, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to provide an adequate level of protection.

We will respond within the time limits required by the law that applies to you (typically within 30 days). We do not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
EU / UK / Switzerland (GDPR)
- Access, correct, and obtain a copy of your personal data.
- Erase your account and associated data.
- Restrict or object to certain processing.
- Data portability — export your data in a machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior processing).
- Lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (e.g. your national Data Protection Authority).
Singapore (PDPA)
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate personal data.
- Withdraw consent for processing or marketing.

8. Data security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage for sensitive data, role-based access control, audit logging, and regular security reviews. No system is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but we will notify you and the relevant authorities of any personal data breach within the time required by applicable law.
9. Data retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. Reviews you have posted may remain on the platform in anonymized form to preserve the integrity of the public review record.
10. Children
Furvisor is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the platform. Where required by law, we will re-request your consent.
